Abba Urban Chickens
Small enterprises – lasting impact.
Abba Urban focuses on practical micro-enterprise initiatives that create opportunity within urban communities. Projects such as Abba Urban Chickens equip local entrepreneurs with skills, resources, and training to build small businesses that generate income while strengthening local food systems. These initiatives demonstrate how small, community-led enterprises can create meaningful economic change.
We do things differently...
#FightingPovertyFightingMalnutrition – Layers and broilers. Urban model allows the poorest to farm chickens for meat and eggs and gives them protein in their diet. The Community Free Range Coop allows for income generation whilst training small scale urban farmers. Our 64- chicken layer model truly creates a small-scale livestock farmer with enough potential income to feed the family. Manure is used to feed the compost heap which in turn keeps the vegetable garden producing vegetables organically.
